Diagnose before quoting.
If we can't tell you exactly what's wrong, we won't tell you what it'll cost. Free diagnostic visit on every call — no “just to take a look” trip fees.
Okla Électrique started in 2014 with one truck, one electrician, and a stubborn belief that an honest day's work still meant something. Today we're a 14-person crew running across Greater Montréal — same hands, same standard, same answer when the phone rings at 2am.
We don't sell a glossy story. We sell clean wiring, labelled panels, and a name that picks up the phone twelve years after we shook hands.
The first job was a kitchen rewire in Ahuntsic in March 2014. The homeowner had been quoted three different prices by three different electricians, all with three different opinions on what was actually wrong. We spent an hour with a multimeter, found the loose neutral, and fixed it for the cost of one breaker and ninety minutes. She referred us seven times that year.
That's the entire business model. Show up, find the actual problem, charge fairly for the actual work, write it down so the next person knows what we did. No upsells, no scare tactics, no “you really should replace your whole panel.” If we say it needs to be done, it needs to be done.
By 2018 we'd grown to four electricians. By 2022, eight. Today we run a 14-person crew, three trucks, and a dispatch desk in Ahuntsic — but the founder still pulls wire most weeks, and every quote crosses his desk before it leaves.
The non-negotiables every electrician on this crew works to — written down on day one, posted on the dispatch wall, and the bar we'll fire ourselves over.

Materials line-item. Labour by the hour. Permits at cost. Itemised written quote before any work begins. No verbal estimates, no day-of additions.
We pull a permit even when it's annoying. We size conductors for the load, not the receipt. We've turned down jobs we couldn't sign off on. We sleep fine.
Every breaker, every junction, every disconnect. Future electricians (including future us) shouldn't have to guess. Cost: 4 minutes. Value: years.
Drop cloths down, vacuum after, dust off the panel cover. The job isn't done until the kitchen looks like we were never there — except for the working outlet.
Daytime, weekends, emergencies. If you've paid us once, you have a number that picks up. Average call-back: 38 minutes during business hours.
Every electrician here is RBQ-licensed and CMEQ-member. Some of us came out of CSDM apprenticeships, some out of journeyman cards earned in Toronto or Halifax. All of us answer to the same six rules above.
